'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. (51) Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. (52) But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. (53) So leave them in their confusion for a time. (54) Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided (55) We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. (56) Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; (57) Who believe in their Lord's revelations, (58) Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; (59) And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, (60) These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. (61) And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. (62) On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. (63) Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. (64) Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. (65) Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels (66) In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. (67) Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? (68) Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? (69) Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. (70) And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. (71) Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. (72) and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. (73) And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. (74) ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. (75) We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble (76) until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. (77)
