Juz 18
O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. (51) This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. (52) But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. (53) So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. (54) Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that (55) Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. (56) Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, (57) Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; (58) who associate none with their Lord, (59) And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, (60) These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. (61) We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. (62) But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, (63) So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. (64) Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. (65) My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs (66) being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. (67) Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? (68) Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? (69) Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. (70) Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. (71) Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, (72) But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; (73) and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. (74) ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. (75) Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, (76) Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. (77)
