The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: (1) Those who humble themselves in their prayers; (2) who turn away from idle talk; (3) And who pay the (obligatory) charity. (4) who guard their privates, (5) Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy (6) whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; (7) And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. (8) And they who carefully maintain their prayers - (9) and who are steadfast in their prayer. (10) Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. (11) And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. (12) then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). (13) We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. (14) Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. (15) and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. (16) And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. (17) We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. (18) And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. (19) The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. (20) And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. (21) and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. (22)
