The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, (1) Who are humble in their prayers, (2) Who shun all frivolities, (3) pay their religious tax (4) And who guard their private parts, (5) [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, (6) But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- (7) And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; (8) And who pay heed to their prayers. (9) these are the heirs of Paradise (10) Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. (11) Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. (12) Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, (13) then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! (14) Then lo! after that ye surely die. (15) Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. (16) And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. (17) We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). (18) We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, (19) And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. (20) And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, (21) You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. (22)
