1/4 Hizb 33
Juz 17
How many a town (community), that were wrong-doers, have We destroyed, and raised up after them another people! (11) Then, when they perceived (saw) Our Torment (coming), behold, they (tried to) flee from it. (12) Flee not, but return to that wherein you lived a luxurious life, and to your homes, in order that you may be questioned. (13) They said: 'Alas for us we were harmdoers' (14) and this they kept repeating until We caused them to become like a field mowed down, and reduced to ashes. (15) And We created not the heaven and the earth and that which is in between in play. (16) Had We intended that We should choose a sport, surely We would choose it from before Us - if We were ever going to do that. (17) Nay, We hurl the Truth at falsehood so that the Truth crushes falsehood, and lo! it vanishes. Woe to you for what you utter! (18) To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; and those who are with Him wax not too proud to do Him service neither grow weary, (19) They glorify Him day and night without fail. (20) Have they taken gods from the earth who raise the deed? (21) Had there been gods apart from God, both (the heavens and the earth) would have been despoiled. Much too glorious is God, the Lord of the mighty throne, for things they assert! (22) He will not be questioned about anything He does, but all people will be questioned about their deeds. (23) and yet, they choose to worship [imaginary] deities instead of Him! Say [O Prophet]: "Produce an evidence for what you are claiming: this is a reminder [unceasingly voiced] by those who are with me, just as it was a reminder [voiced] by those who came before me." But nay, most of them do not know the truth, and so they stubbornly turn away [from it] (24) To all the Messengers that were sent before you We revealed that I am the only God to be worshipped. (25) They say:' 'The All-merciful has taken to Him a son.' Glory be to Him! Nay, but they are honoured servants (26) They speak not until He hath spoken, and they act by His command. (27) He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not intercede except for him whom He approves and for fear of Him they tremble. (28) ۞ And if any of them were to say: "Behold, I am deity beside Him" - that one We should requite with hell: thus do We requite all [such] evildoers. (29)
