Juz 17
The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The time of people's reckoning has drawn near, and yet they turn aside in heedlessness. (1) no Remembrance from their Lord comes to them lately renewed, but they listen to it yet playing, (2) With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret. The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)? (3) Say: "My Sustainer knows whatever is spoken in heaven and on earth; and He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing." (4) Rather they said, “These are confused dreams, but in fact he has fabricated it but in fact he is a poet; so he must bring us some sign, like those who were sent before.” (5) Not one of the towns (populations), of those which We destroyed, believed before them (though We sent them signs), will they then believe? (6) (O Muhammad), even before you We never sent any other than human beings as Messengers, and to them We sent revelation. Ask the People of the Book if you do not know. (7) And We made them not bodies not eating food; nor were they to be abiders. (8) then We made true the promise We gave them and We delivered them, and whomsoever We would; and We destroyed the prodigal. (9) Now, We have sent down to you a Book in which is your Remembrance. Will you not understand? (10)
