Juz 17
The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness. (1) There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, (2) Their minds are lost in frivolous pastimes; and the evil-doers discuss secretly: "Is he not but only a man like you? Then why are you taken in by magic seeingly?" (3) He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." (4) Rather they said, “These are confused dreams, but in fact he has fabricated it but in fact he is a poet; so he must bring us some sign, like those who were sent before.” (5) Before them, not one of the communities which We destroyed believed either. Will these believe? (6) And We sent not before thee but men unto whom We revealed; so ask the people of the admonition if ye know not. (7) nor did We fashion them as bodies that ate not food, neither were they immortal; (8) Our promise to them came true and We saved them and those whom We wanted, but destroyed the unjust people. (9) We have sent a Book, (the Quran), which is an honor for you. Will you then not understand? (10)
