The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Their reckoning has drawn near to men, and in heedlessness are they turning aside. (1) There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, (2) With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" (3) He said: 'My Lord has knowledge of what is said in the heavens and on earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower' (4) Yet they say: "These are only confused dreams," or rather: "He has invented them;" or: "He is only a poet. Let him therefore bring a miracle to us as the earlier (apostles) were sent with." (5) Of the villages We destroyed, there was not one that believed. What, will they not believe? (6) Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. (7) We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals. (8) then We made true the promise We gave them and We delivered them, and whomsoever We would; and We destroyed the prodigal. (9) We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand? (10)
