The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ [The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away. (1) Never does a new reminder come to them from their Lord but they listen to it with dalliance. (2) Their hearts trifling; and those who are unjust counsel together in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; what! will you then yield to enchantment while you see? (3) He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." (4) Nay! say they: Medleys of dreams; nay! he has forged it; nay! he is a poet; so let him bring to us a sign as the former (prophets) were sent (with). (5) Before them, not one of the communities which We destroyed believed either. Will these believe? (6) (O Muhammad), even before you We never sent any other than human beings as Messengers, and to them We sent revelation. Ask the People of the Book if you do not know. (7) Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. (8) We then fulfilled the promise to them, therefore rescued them and whomever We willed, and destroyed the transgressors. (9) We have revealed a Book to you which is admonition for you. Will you not then understand? (10)
