T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. (1) We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, (2) But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. (3) Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. (4) the All Merciful settled on the throne. (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. (7) Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. (8) And has the story of Musa come to you? (9) Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." (10) But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! (11) “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” (12) I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. (13) Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. (14) The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. (15) Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; (16) "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" (17) He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. (18) [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. (20) "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. (21) And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, (22) for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. (23) "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." (24)
