135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. (1) We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) (2) But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. (4) The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). (5) all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. (6) And if you speak aloud so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. (7) God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! (8) And did the news of Moosa reach you? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait I have seen a fire perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” (10) When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, (11) Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, (12) I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. (13) Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: (14) Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. (15) Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." (18) He said: Cast it down, O Musa! (19) So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. (20) He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. (21) And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign (22) That We may show you of Our greater signs: (23) Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). (24)
