In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, (2) it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; (3) A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, (4) The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. (5) His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. (6) And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. (7) Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. (8) And has the story of Moses reached you? - (9) When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait I have seen a fire perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” (10) So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. (13) I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. (14) Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). (15) Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." (18) He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! (19) So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. (20) God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. (21) And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign (22) We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. (23) And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." (24)
