Juz 16
T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' (1) We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, (2) Except as a reminder for one who fears. (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, (4) the Merciful willed to the Throne. (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. (6) Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. (7) Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. (8) And has the story of Moses reached you? - (9) When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." (10) And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, (11) Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. (13) "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. (14) “The Last Day will surely come it was close that I hide it from all in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) (15) Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. (16) And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! (17) He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. (18) He said: Cast it down, O Musa! (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. (20) He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” (21) And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign (22) So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. (23) "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." (24)
