T H (Taa Haa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' (1) We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, (2) But as a reminder unto him who feareth, (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. (4) The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). (5) Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. (6) Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. (7) Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. (8) Has the story of Moses come to you? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." (10) But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! (11) I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. (12) and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. (13) "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! (14) The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. (15) Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. (18) He said: 'Moses, cast it down' (19) So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. (20) Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. (21) And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, (22) "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. (23) “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” (24)
