T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. (1) We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, (2) But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. (4) the Merciful willed to the Throne. (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. (6) And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. (7) God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. (8) (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' (10) When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, (11) Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, (12) And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. (13) Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. (14) The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. (15) Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! (16) And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! (17) He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." (18) He said: Cast it down, O Moses! (19) and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. (20) "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. (21) “And put your hand inside your armpit it will come out shining white, not due to any illness one more sign.” (22) This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. (23) Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." (24)
