۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] (1) We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. (2) Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: (3) A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. (4) the Merciful willed to the Throne. (5) Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. (6) And if you speak aloud so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. (7) Allah there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. (8) And has the story of Moses reached you? - (9) When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. (10) So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” (11) "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. (12) "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. (13) "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! (14) Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: (15) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." (16) What is that in your right band, O Moses?" (17) He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." (18) God said, "Moses, cast it down." (19) So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. (20) [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. (21) And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: (22) for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. (23) "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. (24)
