T H (Taa Haa)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. (1) We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, (2) but as a reminder to he who fears. (3) Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. (4) The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. (5) Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. (6) And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. (7) Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached you? (9) When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. (10) So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: (11) I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. (12) and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. (13) “Indeed it is Me, Allah there is no God except I therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” (14) Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. (15) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." (16) "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" (17) He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." (18) The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". (19) Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. (20) He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. (21) And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign (22) That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. (23) Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. (24)
