T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] (1) We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; (2) but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: (3) a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; (4) (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). (5) His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. (6) Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. (7) Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. (8) Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' (10) When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. (13) "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. (14) Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. (15) Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. (16) "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." (18) (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. (20) Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. (21) Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. (22) That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. (23) Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' (24)
