135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. (1) We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. (2) But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. (3) A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, (4) The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. (6) And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. (7) Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. (8) And did the news of Moosa reach you? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." (10) But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. (13) Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. (14) Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). (15) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." (16) What is that in your right hand, Moses' (17) He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” (18) The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". (19) So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. (20) "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. (21) And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. (22) That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. (23) Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. (24)
