T H (Taa Haa)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. (1) We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; (2) But as admonition for him who fears -- (3) a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens (4) The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. (7) Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. (8) And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." (10) And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, (11) Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. (13) Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. (14) The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. (15) Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. (16) "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" (17) "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." (18) "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). (19) So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. (20) Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. (21) Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. (22) "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. (23) "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." (24)
