T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. (1) We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, (2) but as a reminder to he who fears. (3) Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. (4) The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. (7) God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. (8) Has the story of Moses reached you? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." (10) When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, (11) "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. (12) I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. (13) "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. (14) Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. (15) So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. (16) "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" (17) He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. (18) Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. (20) "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. (21) "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] (22) "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. (23) And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." (24)
