T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. (1) We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, (2) But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). (3) it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, (4) The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. (5) Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. (6) And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. (7) Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. (8) Have you heard the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." (10) And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! (11) Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. (12) And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. (13) Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. (14) "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. (15) "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. (16) And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! (17) "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." (18) He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. (20) Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. (21) "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). (22) That We may show you of Our greater signs: (23) “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” (24)
