T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' (1) We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed (2) Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: (3) a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens (4) The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). (5) Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. (6) If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. (7) God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. (8) And did the news of Moosa reach you? (9) When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." (10) When he approached it, a voice called out: (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. (13) Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. (14) Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). (15) Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. (16) “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” (17) He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." (18) Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' (19) He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. (20) 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. (21) Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. (22) That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, (23) Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. (24)
