T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha (1) We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. (2) but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: (3) A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, (4) The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. (5) To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. (6) And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. (7) Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached you? (9) When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." (10) When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, (11) Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. (12) And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: (13) Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. (14) Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. (15) “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” (16) And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. (18) God said, "Moses, cast it down." (19) So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. (20) God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. (21) "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- (22) So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. (23) “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” (24)
