T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! (1) We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, (2) Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: (3) It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, (4) The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). (5) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. (6) Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. (7) God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. (8) Hast thou received the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. (10) When he approached it, a voice called out: (11) "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. (12) I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. (13) Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. (14) The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. (15) “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” (16) And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? (17) 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' (18) [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." (19) So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. (20) He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. (21) Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. (22) That We may show you of Our greater signs: (23) Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. (24)
