T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. (1) We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, (2) Except as a reminder for one who fears. (3) A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. (4) the All Merciful settled on the throne. (5) To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. (6) Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. (7) Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. (8) (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' (10) And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! (11) “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” (12) I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. (13) I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. (14) The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. (15) So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. (16) What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' (17) He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." (18) Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" (19) So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. (20) Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. (21) And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, (22) That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. (23) "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." (24)
