T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. (1) We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, (2) but as a reminder to he who fears. (3) Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. (4) The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. (5) Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. (6) And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. (7) God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. (8) And did the news of Moosa reach you? (9) When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' (10) And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! (11) Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, (12) “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” (13) "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! (14) Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: (15) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." (16) And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. (18) He said: "Moses, throw it down." (19) Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. (20) He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. (21) And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. (22) so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. (23) “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” (24)
