T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha (1) We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, (2) But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - (3) It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, (4) the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? (5) To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. (6) And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. (7) God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached thee? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." (10) And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, (11) "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. (12) "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. (13) “Indeed it is Me, Allah there is no God except I therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” (14) The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. (15) Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. (16) And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. (18) Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! (19) and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. (20) He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. (21) "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, (22) That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. (23) Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." (24)
