T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha (1) We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) (2) it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; (3) a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; (4) (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). (5) His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. (6) Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. (7) Allah there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. (8) Hast thou received the story of Moses? (9) When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' (10) So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: (11) Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, (12) “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” (13) I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. (14) The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. (15) Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." (16) “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” (17) He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. (18) He said: Cast it down, O Moses! (19) and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. (20) Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. (21) Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. (22) That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, (23) Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." (24)
