Hizb 31
Juz 16
They started their journey and some time latter they embarked in a boat in which he made a hole. Moses asked him, "Did you make the hole to drown the people on board? This is certainly very strange". (71) He replied: "Did I not tell you that you will not be able to patiently bear with me?" (72) Said Moosa, “Do not apprehend me upon my forgetting, and do not impose difficulty on me in my task.” (73) So they set out again; until when they met a boy, the chosen bondman slew him Moosa said, “Did you slay an innocent soul not in retribution for another? You have indeed done an extremely evil thing.” (74) ۞ [Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?" (75) [Musa (Moses)] said: "If I ask you anything after this, keep me not in your company, you have received an excuse from me." (76) So they twain journeyed on till, when they came unto the folk of a certain township, they asked its folk for food, but they refused to make them guests. And they found therein a wall upon the point of falling into ruin, and he repaired it. (Moses) said: If thou hadst wished, thou couldst have taken payment for it. (77) (Khidr) said: "This is the parting between me and you, I will tell you the interpretation of (those) things over which you were unable to hold patience. (78) As for the ship, it belonged to poor people working at sea. So I intended to cause defect in it as there was after them a king who seized every [good] ship by force. (79) And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief. (80) and we desired that their Lord should grant them another in his place, a son more upright and more tender hearted. (81) "As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience." (82)
