Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Praise be to Allah Who has revealed to His servant the Book devoid of all crookedness; (1) an unerringly Straight Book, meant to warn of a stern punishment from Allah, and to proclaim, to those who believe and work righteous deeds, the tiding that theirs shall be a good reward (2) They will abide therein for ever. (3) And that it may warn those who say: God hath taken a son. (4) They have no knowledge of this, as their fathers did not have. How terrible are the words they utter! They speak nothing but lies. (5) Perhaps you may destroy yourself with grief if they do not believe in this message. (6) Verily We have made whatsoever is on the earth as an adornment thereof, that We may prove them - which of them is best in work. (7) And lo! We shall make all that is thereon a barren mound. (8) Do you think the men of the cave and Ar-Raqim were so strange among Our signs? (9) When the young men sought refuge in the cave, they said, "Our Lord, grant us Your special mercy and give us right guidance in our affair." (10) Then We caused them to fall into a deep sleep for many years inside the cave. (11) And afterward We raised them up that We might know which of the two parties would best calculate the time that they had tarried. (12)
