Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
ALL PRAISE BE to God who has revealed to His votary the Book which is free of all obliquity, (1) right, to warn of great violence from Him, and to give good tidings unto the believers, who do righteous deeds, that theirs shall be a goodly wage (2) wherein they will remain [in a state of bliss] forever. (3) And warn those who say: Allah has taken a son. (4) They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers; a grievous word it is that comes out of their mouths; they speak nothing but a lie. (5) Yet it may be, if they believe not in this statement, that thou (Muhammad) wilt torment thy soul with grief over their footsteps. (6) We have appointed all that is on the earth an adornment for it, in order that We try which of them is finest in works. (7) And indeed We shall one day make all that is on it a barren plain. (8) Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder? (9) When the young men fled for refuge to the Cave and said: Our Lord! Give us mercy from Thy presence, and shape for us right conduct in our plight. (10) Wherefore We put a covering over their ears in the cave for a number of years. (11) Then We roused them to find out which of the party had the correct account of the duration of their sleep in the cave. (12)
