Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Praise be to God who has sent down to His servant -- the Book, which is free from any ambiguity (1) unswerving. To warn of great violence from Him, and to give good tidings to the believers who do good deeds that theirs shall be a goodly wage (2) wherein they will remain [in a state of bliss] forever. (3) And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son." (4) Neither they nor their fathers had any knowledge of such utterance (that God has begotten a son). Whatever they say about (this matter) is vicious blasphemy and plain lies. (5) Yet it may be, if they believe not in this statement, that thou (Muhammad) wilt torment thy soul with grief over their footsteps. (6) We have appointed all that is on the earth an adornment for it, in order that We try which of them is finest in works. (7) And lo! We shall make all that is thereon a barren mound. (8) Did you know that the People of the Cave and People close to the Woods, were Our exceptional signs? (9) When the youth sought refuge in the cave they prayed "Lord, grant us mercy and help us to get out of this trouble in a righteous way". (10) We sealed their ears in the cave for a number of years. (11) Afterwards. We raised them up again, that We might know which of the two parties would better calculate the while they had tarried. (12)
