Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Praise belongs to Allah who has sent down the Book to His worshiper (Prophet Muhammad) and has not made any crookedness in it, (1) [He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward (2) Wherein they shall remain for ever: (3) And it (the Koran) warns those who say: 'Allah has taken a son' (4) No knowledge thereof have they, nor had their fathers. Odious is the word that cometh out of their mouths; they say not but a lie. (5) Perhaps you will destroy yourself out of grief because they disbelieve this Book. (6) Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works. (7) and We shall surely make all that is on it barren dust. (8) Deemest thou that the people of the cave and the inscription were of Our signs a wonder? (9) (Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: "Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" (10) Wherefore We put a covering over their ears in the cave for a number of years. (11) Then We roused them to find out which of the party had the correct account of the duration of their sleep in the cave. (12)
