Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Praise be to Allah Who has revealed to His servant the Book devoid of all crookedness; (1) [He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward (2) Staying in it for ever; (3) Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "Allah hath begotten a son": (4) They have no knowledge of this, as their fathers did not have. How terrible are the words they utter! They speak nothing but lies. (5) Then maybe you will kill yourself with grief, sorrowing after them, if they do not believe in this announcement. (6) Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works. (7) and, verily, [in time] We shall reduce all that is on it to barren dust! (8) Do you think that the Men of the Cave and the Inscription were one of Our wondrous signs? (9) When those youths sought refuge in the Cave and said: "Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and provide for us rectitude in our affairs." (10) Then We draw (a veil) over their ears, for a number of years, in the Cave, (so that they heard not): (11) Thereafter We raised them up that We might know which of the two parties was best at reckoning the time that they had tarried.
