Juz 15
The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Praise belongs to Allah who has sent down the Book to His worshiper (Prophet Muhammad) and has not made any crookedness in it, (1) A just Book, to warn of Allah’s severe punishment, and to give glad tidings to the believers who do good deeds, that for them is an excellent reward. (2) therein to abide for ever, (3) And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son." (4) No knowledge thereof have they, nor had their fathers. Odious is the word that cometh out of their mouths; they say not but a lie. (5) Yet perchance, if they do not believe in this tiding, you will consume yourself with grief and follow after them. (6) Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds. [i.e. those who do good deeds in the most perfect manner, that means to do them (deeds) totally for Allah's sake and in accordance to the legal ways of the Prophet SAW]. (7) And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground. (8) Do you think the men of the cave and Ar-Raqim were so strange among Our signs? (9) When those young men took shelter in the cave, and prayed: "O Lord, grant us Your favour and dispose our affair aright," (10) We then thumped upon their ears in the Cave for a number of years. (* Put them to sleep.) (11) Then We awakened them that We might show which of the two factions was most precise in calculating what [extent] they had remained in time. (12)
