The Cave (Al-Kahf)
110 verses, revealed in Mecca after Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah) before The Bee (Al-nahl)

Odious is the word that cometh out of their mouths; they say not but a lie. 5 Will you kill yourself for grief of them if they do not believe in this presentation? 6 Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works. 7 We will surely reduce all that is on it to barren dust. 8 Did you know that the People of the Cave and People close to the Woods, were Our exceptional signs? 9 When those youths took refuge in the cave, they prayed: "O our Sustainer! Bestow on us grace from Thyself, and endow us, whatever our [outward] condition, with consciousness of what is right!" 10 So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years. 11 We then awakened them to see which of the two groups more accurately tells the period they had stayed. 12
