"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). (45) and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. (46) We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; (47) "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." (48) ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, (49) But My punishment is surely a painful one. (50) And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). (51) When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." (52) They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." (53) He said: Bring ye me good tidings (of a son) when old age hath overtaken me? Of what then can ye bring good tidings? (54) give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' (55) He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? (56) [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?" (57) They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] (58) (All) save the family of Lot. Them we shall deliver every one, (59) But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. (60)
