۞ He it is Who did create you from a single soul, and therefrom did make his mate that he might take rest in her. And when he covered her she bore a light burden, and she passed (unnoticed) with it, but when it became heavy they cried unto Allah, their Lord, saying: If thou givest unto us aright we shall be of the thankful. (189) Yet when He gave both of them (the parents) a goodly child, they set up associates with Him, in return for what He had given them. Exalted be Allah above that they associate with Him. (190) What, do they associate that which creates nothing and themselves are created, (191) Who can neither help them, nor help themselves? (192) If ye call them to guidance, they will not obey: For you it is the same whether ye call them or ye hold your peace! (193) Indeed those whom you (the disbelievers) worship besides Allah are slaves like you – so call them and they may answer you, if you are truthful! (194) Do they have feet to walk with? Or have they hands to hold with? Or have they eyes to see with? Or have they ears to hear with? Say, “Call upon your ascribed partners and conspire against me, and do not give me respite.” (195) My guardian is Allah Who has revealed the Book, and it is He Who protects the righteous. (196) And those whom you call upon besides Him are not able to help you, nor can they help themselves. (197) And if you call them to guidance, they hear not and you will see them looking at you, yet they see not. (198) Use thou indulgence and enjoin seemliness and turn away from the ignorant. (199) And if it happens that a prompting from Satan should stir you up, seek refuge with Allah. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (200) Verily those who fear God think of Him when assailed by the instigations of Satan, and lo! they begin to understand, (201) Even though their (devilish) brothers would like them to continue in error, and would not desist. (202) And when you, [O Muhammad], do not bring them a sign, they say, "Why have you not contrived it?" Say, "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This [Qur'an] is enlightenment from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe." (203) Whenever the Quran is recited (to you), listen to it quietly so that you may receive mercy. (204) And bethink thyself of thy Sustainer humbly and with awe, and without raising thy voice, at morn and at evening; and do not allow thyself to be heedless. (205) Surely those who are with your Lord are not too proud to serve Him, and they declare His glory and prostrate in humility before Him. ۩ (206)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
