Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
All praise is to Allah, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and has created darkness and light; yet the disbelievers appoint equals (false deities) to their Lord! (1) He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves! (2) He is God of the heavens and the earth and He knows whatever you conceal, reveal, or gain. (3) yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. (4) So they disbelieved the truth when it came to them; but they will soon come to know the reality of what they had ridiculed. (5) See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). (6) But even if we had sent down unto thee [O Prophet] a writing on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands - those who are bent on denying the truth would indeed have said, "This is clearly nothing but a deception!" (7) They have said, "Why has not an angel come to him (Muhammad)?" Had We sent an angel to them, the matter would have inevitably been out of their hands, and they would have been given no more time. (8) And had We made him an angel, yet assuredly We would have made him a man, and confused for them the thing which they themselves are confusing. (9) And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. (10)
