Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord. (1) He it is Who has created you out of clay, and then decreed a term (of life), and has also appointed another term, a term determined with Him. Yet you are in doubt! (2) He is Allah in the heavens and the earth; He knoweth your secret and your publishment, and He knoweth that which ye earn. (3) And never does a sign come to them from among the signs of Allah, except that they* turn away from it. (* The disbelievers) (4) They cried lies to the truth when it came to them, but there shall come to them news of that they were mocking. (5) Why do they not consider how many generations living before them We have destroyed. We established those nations in the land with abilities far beyond those given to you. We sent down plenty of rain from the sky for them and made streams flow therein, but, then, We destroyed them for their sins and established other nations after them. (6) And even if We had sent down unto you (O Muhammad SAW) a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" (7) They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them. (8) And had We made him an angel, We would still have made him a man, and We would have confounded for them that which they are confounding. (9) Messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overtaken by the very thing they scoffed at. (10)
