Juz 7
Animals (Al-An 'aam)
165 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr) before The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Only God Who has created the heavens, the earth, darkness, and light deserves all praise. The disbelievers consider other things equal to Him. (1) He it is who has created you out of clay, and then has decreed a term [for you] - a term known [only] to him. And yet you doubt (2) He is God in the heavens and the earth. He knows what you hide and bring out into the open, and knows what you earn (of good and evil). (3) (The unbelievers) have always turned away from the revelations and the evidence (of the Truth) that has been sent to them from time to time. (4) They have refused the Truth (Muhammad's message) that has come to them but they will soon learn the consequences of their mocking. (5) Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? We established them on the earth more firmly than you, and We sent the clouds over them, pouring down abundant rain; and made the rivers flow at their feet. Yet We destroyed them for their sins, and raised up other generations after them. (6) But even if we had sent down unto thee [O Prophet] a writing on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands - those who are bent on denying the truth would indeed have said, "This is clearly nothing but a deception!" (7) And they say: "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged at once, and no respite would be granted to them. (8) And had We made him an angel, We would still have made him a man, and We would have confounded for them that which they are confounding. (9) Messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overtaken by the very thing they scoffed at. (10)
